Design Principles(colour)
LO:Explore and evaluate the use of colour in graphic design.
What are hues and tints?
Hues literally mean colour.In theory a tint is a mixture of colours with white,which increases lightness,while a shade is a mixture of colours with black,which increases darkness.Both processes affect the resulting colours mixture relative saturation.A tone is produced either by mixing a colour with grey,or by both toning and shading.
Primary colours-Any group of colours that make any other colour obtained by mixing.
Secondary colours-a colour resulting from mixing two primary colours.
Mono colours-one tint or hue.
Complementary colours- a colour mixed with a given colour makes black or white.
Triad colours- three colours on the colour wheel that are equally space and have a clear dominance between them.
Tetrad colours-a colour scheme,a special variant of the dual colour scheme with the equal distance between each colour.
Analogic colours-they are three colours next to each other and a tertiary.
Accented Analogic colours-An accented analogic complementary scheme utilizes related hues lying adjacent on the colour wheel with a hue directly opposite to these.

Blue-Peace/Loyalty
Yellow-Happiness
Orange-Confidence/success
Green-Nature/healing
Black-secrecy/closed-off
Silver-hope/faith
